These lectures broadly cover the desired skills our leaders should
have to effectively plan, organize, manage, promote, present orally,
and lead in a Rotary Club or Committee setting.
All classes have a Prerequisite of Basic PRLS completion
before enrollment.
Master PRLS 1 and 2 comprise
the public speaking series and is presented during two interdependent,
full-day sessions scheduled about four weeks apart. The classes include
a rigorous program of instructor and group evaluated extemporaneous
and planned public speaking exercises designed to improve anyone’s
ability to present ideas orally to a group. These sessions are limited
to a maximum of 12 students per instructor.
Master PRLS 1
completion is a prerequisite to MPRLS 2 enrollment.
Master PRLS 3 is a class
on group Facilitation Skills and is presented during one full-day session.
The class is designed to acquaint students with the skills and tools
necessary to conduct effective goal setting and problem solving group
meetings.
Master PRLS 4 is a class
on Situational Leadership and is presented during one full-day session.
It teaches how to judge the skills development of team members, fit
the right people into the right jobs, and define the leadership principles
required in order to manage any team effectively.
Master PRLS 5 is a full-day
final session on Project Management leading to Master PRLS graduation.
It is a class that requires all the skills learned in Basic PRLS and
all Master PRLS classes. Class members are divided into teams of 4 -
6 that work together to prepare and propose a major Rotary project to
the Rotary Club of PRLS.
Master PRLS 1
- 4 completion is a prerequisite to MPRLS 5 enrollment.
